The original west wing was built circa 1721 by Aaron Mendenhall (the original floor is still intact). The remainder of the home was added upon post 1767 by Robert Valentine and descendants. The original property was sold by William Penn to Thomas Musgrave in 1698. The property was confirmed to Hannah Musgrave Price in 1703. Hannah sold the property to Aaron Mendenhall in 1713. Circa 1740 the property was given to Aaron's son, James, perhaps as a wedding gift. In 1762 James sold the property and mill to Robert Valentine Sr and through this transaction the property left the family. The current owner of the home is Jacob Edge; Taken by Chad G. Nichols
